The Kerala High Court granted the prosecution's crucial plea in the 2017 actress abduction and sexual harassment case. It granted two demands put forward by the state, which had been denied by the trial court earlier. The prosecution wanted to question 16 fresh witnesses in the case, as well as present the trial with the original digital evidence. Both demands were accepted by the HC. Although the court did not allow all 16 witnesses to testify, the prosecution was successful in persuading the court on a few key ones. Aside from the three witnesses already accepted by the trial court, the court allowed to examine five new witnesses. The court also ordered the state government to select a new public prosecutor in the case within 10 days. The High Court also summoned actor Dileep’s mobile phone along with others. Meanwhile, following the revelation of director Balachandra Kumar in the actress assault case, the investigation for a 'Madam' has been reopened. He submitted a voice recording of Dileep talking to a close friend named Baiju where he is heard saying that it was not him who was supposed to be punished in the case but the madam. And that while trying to save her he was held in the case. Pulsar Suni, the prime accused in the case had earlier revealed that this 'Madam is a person who works in the film industry'. But Suni later said that Madam did not play a big role in the case. With this, the discussions about 'Madam ' came to an end and the investigation came to a halt. A 13-member team from the Crime Branch is investigating the case in three teams. Currently, the first priority in the case is to find a 'VIP'. The person who claims to be directly involved in the case and the accused in the case who conspired to endanger the investigating officers. Once the VIP is found, the Crime Branch will intensify its search for 'Madam' at the next level. The process of collecting voice samples to locate the VIP is in progress. The suspect is said to be a native of Kottayam. The court will consider Dileep's anticipatory bail application in the case of trying to endanger the investigating officers on Tuesday. Dileep was arrested in 2017 and lodged in prison in a case related to a gang sexually assaulting a frontline heroine of South Indian movies and filming the scenes. After two months in jail, he was released on bail and the trial in the case is on, when the fresh revelation has come.
